Miles's First Birthday

Well I think Miles's first birthday was a success. Preparations were a little more challenging, with pearl first stealing the cake mix. Then Allen and Gavin were making bacon with a stool and I was putting Miles to bed when Pearl climbed the stool and got on the counter to eat the cake. I could help and it was not put away which Lapearl up on the counter to eat the cake. So I had to make a new one, but was out of eggs so we use the sprite substitute using sprite from the soda stream home soda maker.

Miles also got his first haircut and lost his crazy curls he look so big! Otherwise things went well and everyone seemed to have a good time. Miles wasn't really willing to try his cake. Oh well.

Gavin helped open presents and seemed to enjoy them about as much as Miles did, if not more.

I can't believe my baby is one!!!

Prekindergarten vacation

Gavin starts kindergarten tomorrow, so I gave him a five day vacation beforehand by taking off Friday Monday and Tuesday. He got to pick something fun to do each day.

Friday – children's museum
Saturday – gymnastics and playground with cousins Brody and Eli
Sunday - playing at home, got some new shoes, and had ice cream social at school
Monday – state fair. He pretty much rode rides all day, had a blast
Tuesday – had to come to work with me for a couple hours, play some video games and went to trampoline place with cousins brody and Eli

He is very excited to start kindergarten, especially riding the bus.

Bedtime

I'd say Gavin was a tired boy. This is how he fell asleep last night in the middle of books.

Kindergarten

Gavin is getting ready to start kindergarten next week, I can't believe it!!! He is a little nervous about not knowing anybody, but pretty excited. We'll be sure to post pictures. I decided to take Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off so that he gets a total of five days home for a "vacation". Now we just have to decide what we are going to do. One day is for the pool one day is for amazing Spiderman and beyond that we are sure. Maybe a trip to Cincinnati aquarium or State fair
